the past months i’ve spent composing a new one-act opera reflecting on the legacy of utata, nelson mandela.
the work has been commissioned by opera africa and is due to open in joburg shortly.
one of the most interesting trinkets to come out as an off-shoot of this greater project is a little piece especially commissioned by london-based contemporary pianist, renee reznek, called “hade tata”.
