last night, over dinner, with a straight face and before going out dancing, bili bidjoka said to me, “i see myself as a 19th century parisian artist … ” to which, of course, there is no measured retort possible.
it was like the day when someone asked louis moholo, “what are you listening to now?”, referring to music on disc in

i’ve been working on some new compositions which will be used in a national youth theatre production in london – the piece, called “skunk”, is by talented young writer, zawe ashton, and directed by my friend, peter collins.
the tale spins out near-like an inner-city remix of frans kafka’s “metamorphosis”.
if you’re going to be in london end of this month or early the next, you might like to see it.
